A short introduction :)

Hi, we are a team of two- Isha Barak and Saurabh Bhargava.

This post will bring to you a short introduction about each one of us, we hope that it will help us connect more with you all.

Here we go:

Hi, my name is Isha Barak. In Indian Economic Service (IES) examination 2018, I achieved Rank 2 with God's grace and immense contribution of my parents and teachers.

I also qualified NET in 2017.

I pursued Economics Honours from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University from 2012 to 2015. After that, I pursued Masters in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University.

Instead of taking up any placement, I decided to prepare for the exam and joined Axiom, Rajendra Place. We were taught by Dr Mahesh Lalwani  :)

At last, I would like to share with you some lines that are very close to my heart-

"Everyday is the first day of the rest of your life."

So, start every day with a smile and try to make the most out of it. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My name is Saurabh Bhargava and I have secured Rank 6 in IES examination 2018. Along with this, I am a NET qualified candidate with above 70 per cent marks and have qualified RBI DEPR Grade B written examination (interview awaited) as well.
I pursued engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University and after that, I pursued post graduation in Business Economics from the University of Delhi.
I have worked as an analyst for the past few years and was recently working as a Senior Manager, Analytics in a US based MNC. My expertise was on Machine Learning algorithms and predictive modelling.
I was inspired by my friends and mostly by my teacher Dr Mahesh Lalwani (Axiom, Rajendra Place) to pursue IES. The learning journey is still on and will continue:
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles
to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep." - Robert Frost
With these lines, I hope this blog will inspire you all in moving towards your goal.
Why this blog
During the course of my preparation for Indian Economic Service examination, I felt that there remains a significant gap between what candidates pursue and what is demanded by the examination.  One of the reasons behind this mismatch is the scarcity of proper guidance and resources.    This is my attempt towards abridging that gap by helping candidates across the country in streamlining their preparation in a better way. I  hope to share with you the insights I have learnt throughout our journey, via this platform. For any queries, reach out to me at iesprepplan@gmail.com.
